Refunds and Transportation Credits

Single-ride and round trip tickets are fully refundable without any change or cancellation fees, if canceled prior to your original departure date on amtrak.com. As the service provider for the Capitol Corridor, Amtrak has established guidelines for their refund policy. Information regarding their refund and cancellation policies can be found here: https://www.amtrak.com/refund-and-cancellation-policy. In most cases, you can cancel your ticket on Amtrak’s website. You may also request a refund on amtrak.com.

Please note: The Capitol Corridor offers unreserved service for its passengers. If travel plans change, passengers can use a rail ticket at any time, provided it is within a year of the original travel date indicated on the ticket. If the alternate travel itinerary is more expensive, the higher fare will be charged. Other restrictions may apply to promotional offers, and passengers should refer to the terms and conditions of the offer.

If you must call, Amtrak can be reached at (800) USA-RAIL or (800) 872-7245. When calling in, bypass the transfer back to Capitol Corridor by pressing zero, and then zero again to speak with one of their live representatives.
